邱騰華強調區域經濟融合重要性

商務及經濟發展局局長邱騰華今日繼續出席在泰國曼谷舉行的亞太區經濟合作組織貿易部長會議，在疫下生活及疫後時代討論環節上強調國際合作和區域經濟融合對疫後經濟復蘇的重要性。邱騰華表示，2019冠狀病毒病疫情持續兩年多，全球經濟仍面對很多不確定性和挑戰。在這艱難時期，國際合作更為重要。作為亞太經合組織的政策制定者，共同的優先工作當然是採取行動重新聯繫亞太地區。他指出，深化區域經濟融合為建立穩健強韌和繁榮的未來提供基礎。香港堅定支持自由貿易，深信自由開放的貿易和投資在重新聯繫亞太地區上擔當重要角色。香港熱切期望並已作好準備，加入區域全面經濟夥伴關係協定，為建立更廣闊的亞太自由貿易區作出貢獻。邱騰華特別談及數碼科技具備全方位重新聯繫亞太地區的潛力，是協助經濟長遠增長和全面復蘇的工具。他表示，香港正籌備成立數字化經濟發展委員會，以加快數字化經濟進程，並呼籲成員經濟體充分利用數碼科技以減低貿易成本、促進投資和恢復跨境往來。邱騰華指出，亞太經合組織在促進貿易合作以達到可持續發展目標方面擔當先驅的角色。他促請成員以循序漸進方式探討新興環保貨物，並繼續推進有關環保服務的討論。貿易部長會議期間，邱騰華會晤秘魯外貿副部長Ana Cecilia Gervasi，雙方同意就締結自由貿易協定展開探索性磋商。他並與越南工貿部副部長Tran Quoc Khanh會面，就雙方關注的議題交流意見。
