孫東訪數碼港

創新科技及工業局局長孫東今日參觀數碼港，了解其最新發展和未來動向，並到訪位於該處的智慧政府創新實驗室。孫東首先到訪數碼港內的智慧生活概念店，與研發智慧生活產品的初創企業家會面，了解他們面對的挑戰與機遇。他又參觀資訊科技大道和數碼港商場的電競專屬比賽場地，聽取有關數碼港工作的介紹。數碼港園區現時有超過700間科技企業和初創企業等，形成多元蓬勃的資訊科技生態系統，其中六間初創企業已躋身獨角獸行列。孫東表示，本屆政府其中一個施政重點是以創新驅動發展，壯大實體經濟根基，積極將香港發展成國際創新科技中心，同時加快推展智慧城市，促進社會廣泛應用數碼科技，並體會科技為日常生活帶來的好處。他說，政府一直支持本地創科發展，致力培育更多本地青年科技人才和吸引外地人才，提升香港的科研競爭力，未來要抓緊粵港澳大灣區建設的機遇，助力香港更好融入國家發展大局。結束行程前，孫東由政府資訊科技總監林偉喬陪同，到訪智慧政府創新實驗室。他聽取政府資訊科技總監辦公室的最新工作簡報，並參觀實驗室內展示、在部分政策局和部門已成功或正驗證的技術，例如導賞機械人、城市儀表版、沉浸式四維CAVE系統等。
